Terms & Conditions
Last updated 1 January 2026
These terms apply to valuation and advisory services provided by Gold Coast Property Valuations, a division of Asset Valuations Group. They should be read alongside the specific scope, assumptions and limiting conditions stated in each valuation report.
1. Instructions and scope
Each engagement is defined by the instructions we accept in writing, including the property, the purpose of the valuation, the effective date and the intended reader of the report. Work outside that scope is a separate engagement. A valuation prepared for one purpose should not be relied on for another.
2. Fees and payment
Fees are quoted as a fixed amount before work begins, based on the information provided at the time. If the property or the purpose materially differs from what was described, we will advise you and agree a revised fee before proceeding. Reports are released on payment unless credit terms have been agreed in writing.
3. Reliance
A valuation report may be relied on only by the party named in it, for the stated purpose and at the stated effective date. No other party may rely on the report without our prior written consent. Market conditions change, and a report should not be treated as current beyond the period stated within it.
4. Information provided to us
We rely on the accuracy and completeness of information supplied by you or on your behalf — including areas, leases, income, approvals and title particulars. We are not responsible for the consequences of information that is inaccurate, incomplete or withheld.
5. Inspection limitations
A valuation inspection is not a building, pest, structural, environmental or compliance inspection. We do not test services, open inaccessible areas, or investigate contamination. Where such matters may materially affect value, we recommend obtaining specialist advice.
6. Professional standards
Valuations are prepared by valuers registered under the Valuers Registration Act 1992 (Qld) and in accordance with Australian Property Institute professional practice standards. We maintain current professional indemnity insurance.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to that, our liability arising from an engagement is limited to the re-supply of the services or the cost of having them re-supplied. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
8. Intellectual property and confidentiality
Copyright in each report remains with us. Reports may not be reproduced in part, published, or quoted selectively without our written consent. We treat your information as confidential, subject to our Privacy Policy and any legal obligation to disclose.
9. Website content
Information on this website is general in nature and does not constitute a valuation, financial advice or a representation about any specific property. Indicative fees and turnaround times are guides only and are confirmed in your written quote.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
