Gold Coast Property Valuations, a division of Asset Valuations Group, is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we handle it in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
To prepare a valuation and quote we typically collect your name, phone number, email address, the property address, the property type, the purpose of the valuation, and any details you choose to provide about the property or your circumstances.
Where relevant to the valuation we may also receive documents such as leases, rental statements, building plans, council approvals, contracts and title searches.
Why we collect it
To respond to your enquiry, provide a quote, arrange and conduct an inspection, prepare and deliver your valuation report, meet our professional and regulatory obligations, and maintain our records as required by law and by our professional indemnity insurer.
Who we disclose it to
We disclose personal information only where necessary — for example to the party you have instructed us to report to (your lender, solicitor or accountant), to our own professional advisers and insurers, to service providers who assist us in operating our business, or where required or authorised by law.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not disclose it for marketing purposes to third parties.
Storage and security
Information is held in secure electronic systems and, where applicable, in secure physical files. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. Valuation records are retained for the period required by our professional obligations and insurer.
